Custom Beef Shares

Our custom shares give you the opportunity to specify your own cut sheet, catering the overall options to your own individual preferences.
Please allow a minimum of 4 weeks lead time on custom shares, but may be available sooner depending on the time of year. Here's how the process works:
- Place a deposit to secure your whole or half beef share.
- Our team will contact you to walk through the cut options and confirm the approximate date of completion.
- Our expert butchers will cut, package, and freeze your beef.
- A final invoice will be emailed to complete the process (subtracting the initial deposit). You'll also receive a yield report with total weights and packages.
- Get your share delivered locally in Montana or pickup at our meat processing plant at 2840 Bozeman Ave, Helena MT 59601. Please note: custom shares are not available for shipping unless requested, at which point we can provide you a quote based on your address (it is very expensive to ship this quantity of meat).
Custom Half Beef Share - approximately 175 to 250 lbs of meat
- The cost is $6.82 per lb on the hanging carcass weight
- Half beef carcass weights can vary between 275 - 375 lbs
- The half beef carcass will yield somewhere between 55% - 75% in total weight of packaged meat products. This depends on your cut sheet. Do you want bone-in or boneless cuts? Do you want to save extra fat and bones? Do you want leaner or fattier ground beef? All of these questions make a difference in the total yield, but this is the benefit of a custom share. It is catered to your preferences!
- Requires approximately 9-10 cubic feet of freezer space
Custom Whole Beef Share - approximately 350 to 500 lbs of meat
- The cost is $6.62 per lb on the hanging carcass weight
- Whole beef carcass weights can vary between 500 - 600 lbs
- The whole beef carcass will yield somewhere between 55% - 75% in total weight of packaged meat products. This depends on your cut sheet. Do you want bone-in or boneless cuts? Do you want to save extra fat and bones? Do you want leaner or fattier ground beef? All of these questions make a difference in the total yield, but this is the benefit of a custom share. It is catered to your preferences!
- Requires approximately 18-20 cubic feet of freezer space
When a bundle specifies a category of beef cut, it can include:
- Premium steak: ribeye, strip, tenderloin, and flat iron
- Butcher's steak: top sirloin, top sirloin cap, sirloin tip, bavette, skirt, flank, top round, chuck eye, denver, oyster, merlot, petite tender, and chuck tender
- Fresh sausage: bratwurst, italian, kielbasa, breakfast, chorizo
- Slow cook cuts: chuck roast, pot roast, stew meat, osso bucco, short ribs, brisket, tri-tip
Orders placed by Monday will ship the same week. Any orders placed after Monday may wait until the following week. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.
